As some of you know, I am planning on opening myself up to commissions in the coming months (if things would stop delaying me getting Zbrush and Vue!!) and a friend mentioned something curious the other day that has had me stop and think.
Content that you create, such as with
Marvelous Designer. Do you need to have a commercial license for the program, if you plan on using the content you make in paid-for commission work? To my way of thinking, I wouldn't need a commercial license, because I am not reselling what I have made in a functional format; like in .obj and textured format, but merely an image with what I have made featured in it.
Looking on MD2's site, which was what had my friend comment in the first place, I all I can see is "Any other commercial activities" is crossed out on the cheaper version of the program.
Does "Any other commercial activities" include graphics?
Any input would be appreciated, because this commission stuff is really doing my head in!
